The Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Microsoft Office Outlook for Microsoft CRM Professional Edition for Service Providers

File nameFile versionFile sizeDateTime
Crmaddin.dll 3.0.5745.1032 1,181,032 25-Jan-2007 00:37

Installation information

Install this hotfix on computers that are running Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 server components or the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook.

Note The Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook includes both the Microsoft Dynamics CRM laptop client for Outlook and the Microsoft Dynamics CRM desktop client for Outlook.

If you are using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, this hotfix contains one Microsoft Dynamics CRM server installation file and three Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook installation files. The Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook file that you must install depends on the version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook that you are running. To determine which version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook that you are running, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.
2. Click Microsoft CRM, and then click Click here for support information.
3. If you are using Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Microsoft Office Outlook 3.0, the version is 3.0.5300.0. If you are using the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Compatibility Release, which is the compatibility version for Windows Vista and for 2007 Office, the version is 3.0.5300.1361.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM server

If you are using either Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook or Microsoft Dynamics CRM Compatibility Release, you must install the server hotfix that is included in the hotfix download. The file is CRM3.0-KB931270-Server-ENU.exe

Note ENU is the placeholder for the actual language version.

The server hotfix must be installed to maintain file consistency, even though the problem is experienced in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client. This file consistency is required because of dependencies for other hotfixes.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook

If you are using Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook, you must use the following installation file:
CRM3.0-KB931270-Client.ENU.exe
Note ENU is the placeholder for the actual language version.

Install this hotfix if you are using either the Microsoft Dynamics CRM laptop client or Microsoft CRM desktop client.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Compatibility Release

If you are using the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Compatibility Release desktop client for Outlook, you must install the CRM3.0c-KB931270-DesktopClient-ENU.msp file. If you are using the Microsoft CRM Compatibility Release laptop client for Outlook, you install the CRM3.0c-KB931270-LaptopClient-ENU.msp file.

Notes
An .msp file resembles an .msi executable file.
ENU is the placeholder for the actual language version.
This .msp file is used for installations of Windows Vista and of Microsoft Windows XP. This MSP package installation does not have a user interface wizard. When the hotfix installation runs successfully, the Command Prompt window appears. The window then disappears when the installation succeeds. You receive an error message if there are any problems with the installation.

Prerequisites

You must have Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 installed to apply this hotfix.

Restart requirement

If you are prompted, restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.

Removal information

To remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 server components or the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook, use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. System administrators can use the Spuninst.exe tool to remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 server components or the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook.

The Spuninst.exe tool is located in the %Windir%\$NTUninstallKB931270$\Spuninst folder.
